Riverdale Season 7: Netflix Release Date

The Netflix sitcom draws inspiration from the well-known Archie Comics. However, throughout the seasons, viewers have experienced multiple roller coaster rides as the writers have strayed from the comic book plots to add a tonne of intriguing mysteries and twists that keep you wanting more.

Regarding the season’s plot, not much was revealed, but the writers did hint at something. The season is about the show’s female lead characters seizing the spotlight with their queen personas. So as we wait for one of the most popular Netflix shows to return to our screens, get ready for plenty of moments and storylines that feature strong female characters.

Although Riverdale‘s new season 6 premiere changed the show’s name to Rivervale, fans aren’t saying goodbye to the drama. We’ll be tuning in to see what happens next as the series continues to spiral out of control. Will everyone stay in Riverdale for another year or will some of the show’s most beloved characters depart?

Below is a list of everything we know about Riverdale season 7.

Riverdale Season 7 Release Date: When will we expect it on Netflix?

The CW has revealed yet another round of renewed shows, with Riverdale taking the top place. The streaming service claims that the show will return for season 7, but it will undoubtedly be the last.

This isn’t entirely unexpected because, as KJ Apa revealed during season 4, the show’s four major characters have committed to “the next three years,” meaning that their contracts will expire with season 7.

Fans were left in the dark about how the cliffhangers would be resolved when season 6 was shortened to just 16 episodes.

The CW will end “Riverdale,” based on the Archie comics, after seven seasons. The show is presently airing its sixth season, with new episodes scheduled to air every Sunday.

Riverdale was renewed for a seventh season in March 2022, joining other The CW shows The Flash, Kung Fu, Superman & Lois, and Nancy Drew.

Eight days after The CW airs the series finale, Season 7 will become available on Netflix in the US.

Because Riverdale season 6 is currently airing, season 7 will have to wait a bit longer. The last season is anticipated to start airing in the early months of 2023, but no precise date has been set.

Riverdale Season 7 Plot Predictions And Spoilers: What will happen?

The sixth season made a huge jump into the supernatural with the crossover event with Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, which was the talk of the town, as the fifth season, which focused on witches and witch hunters, closed on a high note. In the sixth season, which started with a magical twist, Archie’s heart was torn out, Riverdale joined a cult, and the devil paid them a visit.

We cannot predict how the season will end because it is still in progress. Instead, we can only wonder what lies ahead. We start with wildly different stories every year and attempt to weave them all together, and this year is no different, according to Aguirre-Sacasa. But one thing is certain: there will still be a supernatural aspect in Riverdale unless they entirely get rid of it by the end of the sixth season.

Riverdale Season 7 Cast: Who will be in?

While Riverdale season 7’s official roster has not yet been revealed by the show’s creators or the streaming service, we do know about a few characters who will not. One of them is Skeet Ulrich, who has been in the show for the previous four years as FP Jones, or Jughead’s father. Marisol Nichols won’t be appearing on the show in its seventh season, joining Skeet in this decision. Nichols portrayed either Veronica’s mother or Hermione Lodge.
